Ha, love it! I immediately took a selfie with the sign out the front. FIeetwood Mac isn’t exactly on my way to the park, but if you go your own way, you might find the cafe of your dreams. I love little cafes set up in re-purposed heritage-style terraces – the little wooden doorway is up a stone step that looks 200 years old and the antique floorboarded interior is divinely cool. The rustic bakery treats in the window looked incredible. “Do you have banana bread?” “We have a zucchini walnut bread, is that ok?” Yes. Yes it is. And yes it was. It was soft, moist and beautifully spiced. The walnuts didn’t mess with the texture as they were small pieces with just the right amount of crunch. The coffee was equally impressive, with beans from local specialty roaster, Sample, who also partner with One Another (possibly my current Newtown fave). I was very pleased with my takeaway breakfast, and that was without even trying their amazing-looking takeaway breakfast menu! I did, however, grab one of their homemade jars of smoked chilli oil for the holiday road.
