Well “that place next door I should’ve gone” didn’t turn out to be as good as it looked. The stuff in the cabinet looked a bit more special than your usual cafe fare (I think I remember a katsu burger or something) but it didn’t look especially fresh or appetizing. So, just like its average neighbour, I didn’t hold especially high hopes and, true to form, the coffee was disappointing in a way I couldn’t quite put my finger on. And then, just like the mindblowing BB next door, this BB also blew my expectations out of the water. This BB, however, did taste like it was house-baked: moist and absolutely loaded with blueberries. Surprisingly, this is the first cafe I’ve come across adding blueberries to their BB, when it seems to make so much sense! Blueberry banana muffins you get all the time, and yet this was literally the first place I’ve seen offering blueberry banana bread. Full points for the best B&BB I’ve ever had.
