I’m barely inside the front door and I’m already impressed. Satellite is decked out just like my dream house: pink and black with skulls, indoor plants and an interior decorating theme that lies somewhere between rave and kitsch. They have a watermelon umbrella out the front which is so cool I’m going online right now and buying one just like it.

The barista’s charismatic confidence borders on overbearing, so I’m not sure if I feel welcome or inferior, but a range of still-warm house-baked breads greets me on the counter, so I’m definitely in the right place. The first of these warm breads is peanut butter, banana and chocolate. I’ve found God, and her name is Satellite.

My request for no butter is met with surprise and clarification, but it’s just as well I stuck to my guns because the PBB&CB is so rich and oily from the PB&C that it’s practically dripping. How would butter have even? At first I thought it was a bit on the decadent side, but then I kept going back for more. I guess I’m hooked. The rich, bold flavour of the coffee perfectly complements the OTT BB. Klub Satellite, you’ve nailed it.
