I wouldn’t describe Forestville as having a vibrant cafe culture and yet, at 10am on a weekday, all four cafes in this little suburban shopping village were packed out! Surely they can’t possibly all be good? They certainly don’t all look good, but as the newest and most prominent, Tilt is a bit of an exception. It looks like they’re trying to introduce contemporary cafe culture to Forestville. Well, good luck. Unfortunately my coffee was average and they called it out like a production line: “FLAT WHITE KEEP CUP!” Can I suggest maybe calling out the customer’s name instead? The coffee was a bit stale-tasting and dull. The BB was a generic cakey kind that I’ve had before but it’s definitely not the worst BB I’ve ever had. Overall, I feel like Tilt could’ve been better, but I appreciate the effort. Running a real cafe in the burbs can be a bit of an uphill battle, but at least I can say it’s the best cafe experience I’ve ever had in Forestville.
