Coffee and banana bread a la Jetstar! Of course, I pre-booked my coffee and banana bread, so I got a bit of a kick out of them calling my name and giving me my food first. The coffee was poured out of a big pot with a splash of milk from a big jug and a little signature coffee/sugar sludge at the bottom. I don’t usually add sugar in order to let the coffee shot speak for itself, but I make an exception for pot coffee, because there’s no shot to appreciate. The banana bread, care of Mama Kaz, was small, greasy, solid and tasted a little like soy. But I’ve had very similar banana breads at cafes before. If this was a cafe, I’d be disappointed, but this is a cheap domestic flight and my coffee and banana bread add-on only cost me $6. That’ll do, Jetstar, that’ll do.
