You don’t go to Cafe Blossom for the coffee or the food – you go there because it’s right next to a huge indoor playground. The location is everything, and Cafe Blossom isn’t bad enough to force you to go somewhere else for anything better. With run-of-the-mill Mama Kaz banana bread and a coffee that was neither here nor there, I wasn’t disappointed, mostly because I wasn’t really paying attention – my eyes are wandering in two different directions like a chameleon, trying to follow two chaotic little creatures running around in different directions. But Cafe Blossom looks nice enough: spacious and homely with plants and filament bulbs and the like. There’s a cool vintage desk out the front with paper and colouring pencils for kids, which makes my job easier and plays to the strengths of their location. So when you just need to be here, Cafe Blossom is a viable option.
