I love on-location cafes, like Redleaf Cafe, that are legitimate cafes in their own right but are also right where you want to be. You come for the location, but a good on-location cafe is a bonus.
Unfortunately, I’m at Sydney Park way too often, and the kiosk, creatively named The Kiosk, isn’t quite the fantastic bonus I wish it was. The coffee was fine but tasted like mediocrity. The banana bread was out of stock (on multiple visits), but this time I bought something I can only describe as “Snickers baklava” instead which was freaking amazing – their banana bread couldn’t possibly be as good as that thing was. Don’t get me wrong, it’s great that I can get my coffee and BB without going anywhere, but South King St is right there… I could practically get my takeaway from Rolling Penny without too much hassle. So the Kiosk gets big points for convenience, but that’s about it.
